The structure is really simple, but i really like the shadows that where created when light passed between the strips of paper.
The combination of geometric shapes and curves could create an new form.
Started from different cuts in an A4 paper and then passed them through each other to create this unusual form.
The first picture shows the the part that capture my attention. once again I'm playing with lights to create shadows.
Started from a Mobuis strip and transformed it into this continuous curve.

The pavilion structure has an abstract form which is aesthetically pleasing. The structure itself plays with visual pattern and cladding. The pavilion is a 3D mobius strip which is supported by a triangular truss. The different layers of the structure are visual patterns that are made to create simultaneously, an interference pattern and a parallax effect. The creators’ intention for this pavilion was to create an artefact that combines contemplation and playing altogether.
The construction of the pavilion is fully reversible since it needs to be moved around. That’s why all joints and connections are bolted and do not need any glues. The material can also be recycled if they want. Also no machinery is needed during construction since the parts of the pavilion are light so that people can carry them. That’s why the process is safer and quieter.
The pavilion is made of galvanized steel tube and exterior grade BC fir plywood.
These materials were chosen because they resist all season’s outdoors weather without the need for supplementary paints. All materials were bought from locally suppliers
The PVC pipe pavilion may not be so aesthetically pleasing like other pavilions that you see, but it transform waste materials into a useful architectural space. “The project seems to have derived inspiration from the manner in which the poor interact with the building construction material in the Third World” They have designed a pavilion were the material is no longer used for drain but it is used like a hollowed block that you can built with. The solidity of the side compared with the transparency of the front gives a striking effect. Also the different sizes of the pipes create an interesting pattern that pleases the eye. This pavilion can be placed in courtyard or a public park so that children can enjoy it
The pavilion is made from PVC pipes of different diameters. They are transforming waste material into useful architectural space. The PVC pipes also resist outdoor weather although if the pavilion is left in the sun for certain years they will start fading. For this project you may use other recycled materials like cardboard tubes, the problem is that they will not resist rain.
Flockr pavilion is a structure which reacts to the environment but at the same time, it looks like a building because of its basic forms. The structure is made from steel rods that are connected at the bottom and top. These rings create the interior of the pavilion and a skylight. Events that are going to be held in the pavilion are going to find a dynamic pattern of many reflections.
The outside of the pavilion is covered with panels that can react to wind to create a kinetic skin that can be penetrated by light and air because of the fact that the panels are only attached to the structure from the top part of the panel.
56 thin, flexible steel rods form the pavilion structure. These rods are connected at the bottom and at the top to form 2 large steel rings.
“The larger bottom ring frames the interior perimeter of the structure while the smaller top ring creates a skylight; the relationship between the two results in the pavilion’s curvilinear womb-like shape.”
